★ How to make food 0a
You can learn the Cooking profession from the Cooking Tutor in Freedom Harbor. You can speak to the Cooking Tutor to buy recipes (right-click them in your inventory to learn them), or search for new recipes from quests and instances.
Press O in-game to bring up your jobs, and select Cooking. You can choose which recipe you want to use, provided you have learnt the recipe. Like every other job, there are different levels of cooking and each level unlocks new recipes.  Remember that all crafts require 1 Essence per product.
You automatically gain 12 Essence for every hour that you are online,
and 3 Essence for every hour that you are offline (stops regenerating at 8 offline hours).
The maximum amount of essence you can have will depend on your level.

★ Understanding this Guide 1a
Lv# Name = cooking level required to make, name of the food
[1x Item | 4x Item ] = the ingredients required per product.
From = Where to get the recipe :3

Resting Effect = (Lasts 15 seconds) The effect the food gives when you eat it while resting.
Side-Effect = (Lasts 15 minutes) Effects given to you, like buffs, that are effective even when not resting and in battle mode.

Ingredients are colour-coded!
Blue = Purchased from NPC
Orange = Dropped from Mobs
Green = Obtained from Botany
Pink = Obtained from Fishery
Purple = Considerably Rare Items obtained from high level Elite mobs or Instances.

You might be wondering where this thread went in the first place.
I broke the list for a little while so I deleted the old thread before too many people flocked to it.

Now that I've fixed the list, I've reposted it here in the Guides section.

Thanks!
I like working on this stuff as a time killer, typing is fun.

I'm kinda not sure if I posted this stuff in the right forum though. I mean there's Guides and then there's Crafting so I dunno. xD

It's ok. Crafting is for questions and such about it. If they are searching for guides this is the place Wink

Beautiful guide. I can defiantly tell like in other games, cooking is going to be a key way to be able to make and key your money. Instead of relying on vendor bought items.

Awesome guide.
Anything above lvl 3 though? Not being picky,but just curious. I have recipes for foods that do the same things, but one needs easy to get ingredients, other one needs rare items. Not wanting to waste money and buy both recipes.

It's capped at level 3 Tongue
Missing a few lv3 recipes 'cause they cost 20 silver each, and I've been away with my boyfriend playing the account. So I haven't really been able to get them yet. xD

I think so~
I can't be bothered playing the CN version, my friend gave me an english patch for it but I really don't feel like downloading the thing.
There's also going to be differences between the CN and EN versions, or so Crabclaw told me. Apparently our version is going to be customized towards what we want. I can't wait to see how that turns out. xD

there is an english [language] patch for the CN version? really ?! I have an eager friend who might find that useful, do you have a link?

On-topic: I like your guide very much. very precise, you used colors and symbols to make it clear. good work!

Ah, thanks. Tongue

Unfortunately, the english language patch is something that my friend personally made by taking the text from CBT1 and customizing it to fit the CN version, and occasionally made his own translations. He only gave it to me and my guild; so I'm not sure if I have the rights to share it.

Although, I'm sure that other people have publicly released english patches, somewhere on google. Cheesy
